Fun Ford weekend at Virginia motorpark speedway

    (y) Hi Guys, Enjoyed the show even though half the morning on Saturday was rain. Almost turned back and wanted to come back Sunday. Glad I got to meet Tim and the Mavaholic "Dennis" along with the Bossmav......and couple others that raced down the track. I had a good time although by the end of the car show wanted to take some pictures of the group in hole and only found 1 car there at quarter till 6 . I left the show area around 6 pm and headed for home. But that was the most Mavericks I've seen in a get together for a long time. Sure hope we can get together again in the near future. ya'all take care it was worth the trip...........Frank -----blue/white 72 maverick that was entered for the show.

frank, it was good talking to you. i counted 10 mavericks and comets there. i'm still in virginia. i head back to arizona on thursday. hopefully within the next few years i'll be able to make it to the roundup to see a lot more mavericks and comets. of course, from the quality of the cars there (at vmp), i will have to get the car painted. sure did like that bahama blue of that one mav that was there. i enjoyed meeting tim, dennis, bruce, terry and frank from the board here and a number of others there. sorry i didn't get to say goodbyes, but everyone was watching the races and i had to get to virginia beach by 6pm. found my brothers place around 6:15. even though it rained most of sat, i had a lot of fun looking at the cars there and talking about mavericks. we even got to see our first all chrome maverick dashboard. thanks for the hospitality. see you again soon i hope.:D
