first off its supposed to be custom gauge pod. well i got tired of lookin at my gauges mounted close to the floor today and decided to move them. my car is a 73 and i removed all the a/c from my car so my vents are not much use to me. i decided to build a gauge pod out of my center dash vent. here is a couple pics after a couple hours work.

Looks nice. I like the detail you are putting into it. I get tired of seing guages just mounted flat to a peice of metal (like my last car!)

I agree they look nice but not everyone is willing to sacrifice their AC to put gauges in that location, specifically. I perfer the flat panel and the AC - that's just me.

I took all that out yearrrs ago. Then I used the vent space for an equalizer and the end vents for tweets. All that is gone now and i'm still gonna put a small remote controlled window ac unit in the back :D

Who makes such a unit? I have never seen one. I'd like to see some info on it.
