Ok, its home! But now the fun begins!!!

I must admit that I am a bit confused by the door plate. Ultimately it ends up being a November car and all the research I had done was on December on 71's...

Really no matter though, it will still fix up the same in the end, and the boy will still be all over it either way. :thumbs2:

Oh yeah, it runs and drives too!! All the parts for the front end are inside it, rear bumper too. Where did the GT gas cap come from though??

Yeah, it was the fact that I thought all 71 Grabbers came with buckets and black interior, but this one shows the 5E - Vermilion - Deluxe Woven Vinyl Bench.

Dang car looks a lot better out of the garage and decent pictures :thumbs2: I was wondering what valve covers it had on it, I was correct in what I thought they were.

Doesnt look like it will take a great deal to fix up. Need some interior shots once you get it cleaned out. It would be nice to take it back to original color

It was so hard to even look at it in that garage, could hardly get at the drivers side to verify the vin when I first looked at it.

Did he mention the oil leak to you? Turns out that the drivers side VC didn't even have a gasket. Threw one on before pulling it off the trailer, but that beggs the question, why was the VC taken off in the first place? Well, after letting it run a while, I think I know why. It runs strong and solid, no noise at all, but the left bank blows smoke out of the tailpipe. I am almost positive that it has a bad valve stem seal.

Yeah he said it needed valve cover gaskets, guess it would leak without one :). Well if it just needs seals that easy, probably just needs some tlc after looking at it with all the different cans of cleaner and lubricants sitting on it.
