1970 Maverick Fuel Sending Units....

    Since you are in California, that just might be the correct one for you!

    In 1970, there was a smaller fuel tank, 14 gallons, on the cars with the evaporative system attached to the tank and inside the left side of the trunk. If you have that extra vapor tank in your trunk, then this is the right sending unit for you D0DZ-9275-D, which is in the auction. If you have a 16 gallon stock tank, then the right sender is D0DZ-9275-C

    i don't have one in the trunk what is the diffrence in the sending unit ?

    The fuel pickup is slightly different, both the angle and length, to make up for the tank shape and size difference. Would probably still work fine on the bigger tank, but it may not allow all the fuel in the tank to be useful. Also, the sender is at a different spot on the pickup, which may make the guage incorrect - not sure. :huh:

    Ford made 2 different sending units for a reason. Here are the auctions picture of the "D" model, and a "C" model that I have. You can see a difference in the 2 pictures.

    i got it -- i got it :D for $51.02 + $8 shiping still 10 bucks cheaper then the mustang one at kragen's
