i currently have in my possession a 1970 ford maverick 2 door sedan in rather good condition, all original stock with a ford 206 in it, bought it for 300$ from the scrap yard, needs a little work, alternator, brake pads, key cut. not a whole lot. Waiting for manuel in the mail to get started(y)

Welcome, from W. Georgia! Just ask whatever questions you have, and ask about parts you need or anything else. The folks here are talented, know these cars like no one else, and extremely helpfull.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
welcome. First off unless your cars been coverted over to disc brakes it will have brake shoes not pads. Everything you need can be had at a parts store. Also unless the engine has been bored out it will be a 200 Not a 206, that will be helpfull when buying parts. Good luck. Do a bunch of research before you buy anything.

:Welcome: from a fellow 70 owner in Northeast Pennsylvania

Is you ignition key under the dash? If so it is one of the earliest 70 models that are referred to as a 69.5 :)
