There is a 1977 Comet on ebay. Its an all red 4 door with 29000 miles. It looks like a turn key drive home car in perfect condition. Buy it now for $20,000.

I think this is the same one that has been listed previously for $3,500. Wow what an increase from $3K to $20K. What did he do - get a platinum muffler for it?

Update: It is the same one

Can't sell it at $3,500, so lets increase the price by almost 500%.

No, this Comet is not my car. I saw it on Ebay while looking at the Mercury cars. As you may know Ford will discontinue the Mercury nameplate. Do you think those cars will be more collectible in the future? I had a chance to buy a '75 Comet GT in excellent condition, mostly orginal. It was tan and black/tan interior, 250 (4speed) from another car, orginal 3speed Bucket seats, floor shifter, aftermarket stereo and that's it. I think '75 was the last year for the Comet GT. He wanted $3500. Engine was rebuilt. I did drive the car and it was very nice with the 4speed! I think I should have bought!

That must be a typo. I bought my 2dr in similar condition showing 23k on the odomitor which the owners said was actually 123k, for 2k. I will admit that I got a good deal but that has to be a typo.
