The Mean Green Maverick Machine

<This is what I've got: <This is what I need,.Yes I said need . I've had a healthy obsession with this car since I've been 6. It was my dads.

 

You have to love the hot rods of the 70's. That is doable and it looks like you have a nice clean starting point, get after it!

 

Yeah they sure do. Cant wait to get it painted.

 

My dad had a dk green 70 Maverick with a Comet GT hood scoop and some funky looking aftermarket wheels called "Indy 500s". I would love to duplicate that car one day....I practically grew up in it. Loved the plaid!

 

You mean Indy slotted mags? They still look good and are still available.

 

Not slot mags....these were made by the Speed Wheel Co. and called Indy 500s. I'd like to find a set at a swap meet.

Man, that looks cool!! That's the way most Mavericks looked when I was a kid.

 

Thank you Dave. I was wondering, is the green on your car factory? or is that a custom color. I always liked the green on the fords during the 70s. Its funny, most people wouldnt be caught dead in a green machine. I love 'em!
