Just got my new steering wheel installed last night. It looks "similar" to the factory spoked wheel (which I've given up on trying to find one I could afford) and I used one of Dan's steer horn logos for the horn button. The only thing I'm not crazy about is it's a little smaller than I'd like, but can't complain too much....

Anybody need a "non-cracked" factory standard, black steering wheel?

Looks really nice! I still have my stock wheel "tan" but I had to redo the horn switch. I was able to use the original cover and put my "custom" switch into it. Works great now,it used to just blow by itself sometimes!:)

    I like, that it's thicker.

Yep, I agree.... much more comfortable to grip. This one is wrapped in leather as well, so your hands don't seem to sweat....

I like it too. Is that aftermarket? Grant? Where'd you get it?

Yes, it's aftermarket. Picked it up at the Carlisle car show in PA. Can't remember the brand, but I still have the box so I can check tonight. I've also got the guy's business card I bought it from, and he does ship these if anyone is interested....

Looks good. Small like the one that came on my car. Its ok on the road but the parking lots its a lot of turns to maneuver.
Like Dave said nice and thick.
I love the look of my factory wheel now and get lots of comments on it but its so thin.

I would like a factory sport wheel but same boat. Price is crazy. Cant justify it. Maybe I'll stumble on one some day.

If anyone is interested, the wheel is from "M Racing Sports", model number MP-SW065. I bought it from Joe Costantino, his web site is: www.joesautopartsonline.com

If you order a steering wheel from him, make sure and let him know it's for a Maverick, because you'll need the Ford adaptor "plus" another "adaptor extension" in order to have enough depth for the horn button....

Art, who makes your center console/where can I find one? I've been looking into a custom console setup since I converted my car to bucket seats and have nowhere to put anything.

Here is the console I purchased (eBay listing):

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/COUG...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f00bd3329

It's been a while, but I think I bought it direct from the Mfg..... http://www.classicconsoles.com/cgi-bin/eShop/index.cgi

I believe it was part number: FMHH6473CP, shown here on their site: http://www.classicconsoles.com/cgi-...t_id=2406070.11768&pid=46&product=FordMustang

I looks pretty "period correct", but it's not a perfect fit. I wish it were a tad narrower, as it's tight in-between the seats (fits, but very cramped against the bottom cushions. On the plus side, it doesn't move around...). Not sure how it would be with other buckets though....
