    Mavaholic had a great idea about creating acronyms for common terms used
    http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=8341

    The forum software can be set up so cerrtain words can be replaced with other words.

    Here is a list of words that I wiil added along with their replacements. Feel free to add new ones.

    CoMav = Comets and Mavericks
    MavCo = Mavericks and Comets
    MavCom = Mavericks and Comets
    mmb = Maverick/Comet Forums

    Do you think a singular version of the acronyms are required as well?

    Nitrous Oxide is N2O.

    "NOS" stands for Nitrous Oxide Systems, which is a brand name.

    "MSD" stands for Multiple Spark Discharge, which is also a brand name for the popular ignition system...

    I'm sure all of us at some time or another, especially as we're all gearheads, have experienced the acronym taken from the military, FUBAR (****ed up beyond all recognition). :slap: (Ask my Joy about FUBAR when I'm trying to set a new world's record in the "across the yard wrench toss")

    Another we have definately all experienced is SNAFU (situation normal, all ****ed up). :smash:

    I added the following and will see how it works out(Some gave me trouble).

    Co.Mav = Comets and Mavericks
    Mav.Co = Mavericks and Comets
    Mav.Com = Mavericks and Comets
    M.C.C.I = Maverick Comet Club

    To use them, dont include the "dot".

    I'm sure everyone knows what a "B.F.H." is, right? It's a tool that no gearhead should be without...

    All of this discussion would be no BFD if it weren't for MFs talking about MSD and CBE. So what if your NOS isn't called by that name, but rather N2O? How many BMF have NOS anyway? :mad:

    IMHO I DGAS what anyone has to say about this, the FAQ or the BFQ about what IS an Acronym? What is Acronymophilia? Is it like Necrophylia, but with NOS? I dunno but SFM, I DGAS!

    This is just my 2CW, but I feel that the NRA, GOP and DNC should all own Mavericks, but not NAMBLA, cause that is a horrible thing. :eek: See you all L8TR and LMNYT!

    TL,

    This is all in fun sir. I posted my last post strictly for laughs, not to offend. Hang around, you'll find us all a humoristic bunch.

    Again sir, no offense meant or intended
