Bryant and I decided to drive up to the race. His friend Steve was racing up there too so it was going to be a group of us. I drove my car and Bryant came with me. I'm very happy that the maverick did the 250 miles and 4.5 hours back and forth with no hiccups. There were 2 other mavs up there as well, both really friendly guys.

It was a bracket, I only had the patience to stay for the 3 qualifying rounds. Which is good because even though we left at 2pm and after stopping for dinner at a GREAT restaurant we made it back 8pm. It was one of the best time I have EVER had being at a race track. Man, Bryant has some stories, it was great.

This shot is with the crew on the truck and bryant and I riding along, they are towing the drag car and there is a maverick that just raced coming back to the pits

here are my race times, I'm car #410

First run, couldn't get a good grip and launched at 3200. Granny shifted the T5 all the way.

Third one I spun a lot and missed the 3rd gear and could get it in but finally slammed it in. Then just finished the run in 3rd gear. I shifted at 5 grand in 1st and 2nd. Wheel hopped when doing the burn out, that's when I noticed my car has a funny vibration to it afterwards. Like when it idles or when i put it in neutral going on the freeway it has a high frequency vibration.

Last run spun the most and tried power shifting but couldn't power shift into 2nd.

I got waxed by the bug to my right. You can see it on the time slip with his car number.

That's a fun track. I've raced therebefore. I've also met Josh Wagner at the ET Finals here in Phoenix last year.:)

I like your grille. Where can I get one, or did you make it yourself?

I bought it from someone that makes them on the board. It think its right under $200. It's a nice metal piece. Very solid. I would do a search and I'm sure you'll find it.

I believe he said he does 11's on a 306 with no power adders. very cool guy that owns it. used to be his son's high school car. he did an interesting deal with his leafs in the back, dearched them and turned them upside down. pretty cool

Cool. Your ride looks good to. I wonder how that spring setup works for him?

famosa is a really old track. its been kept up well. its the home of the march meet and the hot rod reunion. it has a half mile shut down and if you need more you go into a farm field.

Great pics Mo and times are getting better. Looks like a lot of fun. I love that track and go up there a few times a year. Your car looks great and that Comet is really cool looking too.
