Hi, first time posting here and also relatively new to car engines.. I've got a straight six and the car sat for a couple of years. Finally got it started by chaning the fuel pump. PUt new gas in etc.. but after a couple of months running, the carb starting spewing out gas along the sides where the carb connects to the engine manifold. Took it off, used a carb kit and cleaned it out completely (had a lot of rust in it). Put it back together and started running again, but then after a couple of weeks, gas started spewing out again.. Can't really understand what's going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    tks.

    p.p.,

    welcome to the board.

it looks like a rust prob. could be rust getting under the needle and seat. could try cleaning the tank and carb. then putting in a good inline filter. that is what took care of my prob. when it did the same thing (y) ...frank...

forgot to mention.. it'll run (or at least till now cause it wont start anymore), but when it ran with this problem.. it would run for about 15 minutes and then start spewing gas and eventually die out.. Does this seem to be the same symptoms of this problem? And, do you have any suggestions to cleaning out the tank?
