69-72 had a notch in the front for the stone guard. The others didnt. That's about it. They all swap.

I would think a notch is visible? Especially if you put it on a latter car......

The stone guard is the piece that goes under the grille. It's behind the bumper.

Right under the head lights, there is a 3'' x 3'' or so notch in the fender -- Its for the small bumpers only!

If you have BIG bumpers then you don't have the notch. Its extremely noticeable.

Yellow car has big bumpers, and no notch

Blue car you can almost see the notch (behind the bumper)

Third picture the stone guard is circled.

Also 2 and 4 door front fenders are exactly the same - my 2 door 70 has 4 door front fenders on it from a 72.

Not at all! All you need to do is notch your stock fenders. Or you can notch your stoneguard. That's what I did on my bumper swap.

Notch the fenders...it's easy. There is a template or measurements in the Tech section of this site.

Hey Erick...long time no talk...lol...i actually just found a four door comet at the junk yard today and took everything. Fenders, valance, etc... so i have everything to convert my car to small bumper... just finished putting it on the car....the fenders need a little repair but nothing major...and a few holes welded up...but my front end is now complete...oh buy the way does anyone need and 71-72 comet stuff? i can go back and get it for you?
