later style alternator????

    Hey guys curious if anyone is running a serpentine belt on their car i want to put an 95 mustang alternator on my 90 5.0 motor thats in my maverick curious if any of you guys are running a later style alternator with serpentine setup and what alternator did you use any help would be great thanks

    Are you running the 90 serpentine bracketry now? If you are, you should be able to grind the webbing down on the aluminum bracket a little and reclock the back if the wires don't come out where you want them.

    130 amp alternator out of a sn-95. fox body front cover and brackets, only alternator, water pump and crank pulley. Running smooth water pump pulley with reversed belt tensioner.

    here is my setup.

    Using 130A alternator from 93-ish 5.0. I had to do a touch of mods to make it fit the bracket.

    I also re-clocked the alternator so the plugs pointed where I could get to them and where they were safe from moving parts and threats to grounding. The A/C is non-functioning, for now, but living in SE Texas, I know I will eventually need one, so I just stuck it in to act as a pulley and to hold the place for when i actually install one.

    Alternator is a new Ultima 130A 3G alternator part number 01-0205 from O'Reilly $155
