Happy to have found this place. I have been a Maverick fan since seeing Dyno Don Nickolson & his pro stock maverick in NHRA Summernationsl in Englishtown NJ in 1971. I had just returned from Viet Nam and been stationed in Fort Dix.NJ . Having grown up in northern NM I was never around any big drag strips till Uncle Sam sent me way out in Yankee land. I had a 65 Mustang cpe, 289 (which I "slightly" modified before leaving New Mexico. We went to many good drags that year, Englishtown,Atco,York,PA Indy beforee heading back to NM. I've owned 2 Mavericks, (one a 76 Stallion) and many Mustangs, the last one an 85 5.0 LX Conv I bought new while selling cars at Frontier Ford in Albuquerque.
