I seem to remember it being on Ebay..it's been passed around a bit....I think it may also have been in a magazine or something.....or at least a picture of it...

Hey thanks guys.... The kid I bought it from said that it was from Arizona but that he bought the car from a guy in PA so I'm not sure if the guy moved to PA with it or bought it from someone in PA.

Any more information or pictures is great.. keep ;em coming.

    This is FUN! :)

WOW Less than 24 hours and I got in contact with the guy that built my Valerie. He got the motor out of a 1974 Gran Torino. Left it the way it was, no work done to it. Confirmed it WAS an FMX transmission when that was the conclusion I came to from counting the bolts until someone convinced me that it was a C4.

Speaking of said FMX transmission - the guy that told me that it was a C4 said that it will have to be rebuilt soon because of the amount of metal he saw in the pan. I have been through this before with a Mustang. He said that by manually shifting the gears, it will drive better....... *I* think he is trying to get me to blow the tranny out even quicker. What do YOU all think?

    Mel

PS - Thanks to everyone for all of the comments and LINKS TO THE GALLERY that helped me find Eric.

Mel, so what is the story on this car with the Arizona/Pennsylvania connection? I assume that this Eric is the one that built the car and is he the one from Ransom Road in PA?

Sharp Mav! I like the two color combo. Mine has three but not by choice! yellow, white, primer gray LOL. The engine will have to be finished first!

Eric Wall from Arkansas built the car between 2004-2006. He sold it in 2007 to work on another project. He sold it to a man named Barry from Orlando, who sold it to a guy in NE Pennsylvania who sold it to father & son (both named Al) from Connecticut who then traded it to me for my 1974 Comet with 24k original miles.

I feel much better about the car now. I was so afraid that I'd be stuck wasting money replacing parts with the wrong ones because I'd never find out what year motor this is. Its all clear to me now, and I guess this downhill battle has taken a turn for the better. I can't express how grateful I am that you all have helped me.

    Thanks so much! :)

...oh Yeah, as for the Arizona connection - I guess somewhere along the way someone may have mistaken-ed the AR abbreviation of Arkansas for the abbreviation of Arizona.

This was orange and silver. I saw the car on craigslist for MONTHS and just never contacted the guy about it because I thought it was primer grey and just plain ugly. I finally looked at the ad for the 50th time and decided that besides the silver (GREY) color, it was as close to my dream car as I could afford right now so WHY NOT? I even got lucky enough to trade my Comet for it..... I loved that car dearly but after parking on the grass at Musclepalooza, I vowed to have some type of 8cyl car by this spring and I was not about to cut up that 'ol Comet yet. She was too young.... hardly any miles on her at all.
