With my new drag radials I finally was able to have a good launch but I needed to rev up to 5K, I tried 2500, 3000, 4000 and 4500 and bogged down on all of them. Since this is my daily driver is it safe for me to launch at 5K? It's a 331, 8.7:1 compression, I use nitrous but not off the line, 8" 3.80 gears, T5 with g-force gears and stock drive shaft, traction bars.
My 8" didn't take but about 4 good high rpm launches. Fwiw with that t5 and 8" you got a bomb waiting to go off. Try more air pressure in the tires so it doesn't dead hook and bog
Time bomb was the first phrase that popped into my head with the 8" I wouldnt have an 8" in my car if I converted to manual. Good excuse to do the 9" upgrade.
time to get started on the super duper 9". We've been thinking about a Strange housing, 4.10 gears and disc brakes. I want to keep it light because down the road I see myself doing some road racing.
Only as a spectator. I don't think the Maverick or the Falcon could handle that track(both need New suspension). I should of gone before I sold the T-bird It handled pretty decent.
ive been looking into the NOS powershot. dunno if i have the hood clearance for the spray plate to be honest. also, my c-4 might balloon on launch if i hit it lol. do you have a 1/4 or 1/8th time?
most people here haven't had trouble fitting the powershot plate under the carb. The times I gave you were 1/4mi, I did 88mph in 8.4sec in the 1/8th mi
ill have to downstep my breather then to fit the 1/2" plate. Ive got an rpm airgap intake and a 3" breather, according to the clay i put on top to measure, it only showed 1" clearance and the motor does twist in there
