Well the Roundup and Gathering are all in the midwest. Most of us Az. guys can't make the trip and it's even farther for you California guys. So is anybody interested in attending a Southwest Meet? We have a good amount of members here in Phoenix for our local shows and some of you in surrounding states have had interest in meeting us for them. But if we have a bigger Meet with more notice would more people come? We could make it a 2 day event. Day one could be a car show/gathering at a local weekly car show or maybe at a parts swap if the timeing is right, followed by some kind of Food event. Day 2 would be a track day with some lanes reserved for us at our local dragstrip. For those not familiar with our weather a quick search shows the average temp in October to be 88 degrees. And our monsoon season will be long gone by then so will be very low chance of rain. So is this worth organizing and setting up? Or is it too far and not a big enough deal to get you west coast guys to come out?
I'll look up dates that would have the most to do if there is enough interest. We will be doing something with the local guys in the fall anyways just trying to gauge how big to go. If its just us we will just do a meet at a track but if there's more people I'll see what else we can do to make the trip worth it for those traveling. One of the Hotels I stop at frequently has an Rv Park to go along with their Ramada Inn Hotel and may be a good place to see about getting a group rate at if some are traveling Rv style and its right off one of the freeways on the westside of town which is 30 minutes from the track. I will work on details if interest is there.
Possible, but I want to caravan with others from SoCal. Longest trip I've taken with mine is San Diego from Burbank.
