Well I have always wanted to do the special plate thing. I had come up with quite a few choices over the last two and a half years of putting this car back together. After listing all of my favorites in order of preference to send in to the state for consideration. My Wife came up with this one. I thought it was pretty good so I put it at the top of the list. Looks like it wasn't taken and I received these last week. I just got around to mounting them last night.
Great looking New Jersey plate Bob! And it is nice that your wife helped out with the name. Can't wait to see pics of your car when it's done.
That's very cool! GA just jacked up the price for antique car plates and vanity plates. Guess I'll have a normal plate if I can't run the old '72 plate.
Roger, Thanks! My Wife was the one that actually found the car for sale in the local paper so this is ALL HER FAULT !!! LoL ..........
While vanity plates are $200/yr here, my vintage '72 plate was the same $$$ as a regular registration except good for five years instead of one!
Nice plate! I have historic plates on mine, one time charge less than $30, if I want a historic vanity plate or to use an old plate it would have to be renewed each year for around $25
$200/Year!!! Holy crap!! I pay $74/year for mine, but they were @$200 to buy, about 10 years or so ago.
The original QQ's were a one time price of $44.00 for the life of the car with no inspections. The personalized plates were an additional $50.00 also one time price for the life of the car. You must renew them every 5 years though at no cost.
Cool. I have real nice 1972 plates for mine just havent got around to sending the ministry my 230 bucks I think it is. They have to verify the plates are legit then send them back to me with an OK to use them.
