ok.. now im working on hooking back up my carb. it's a holley. but i dont know where the vacuum lines go. I was reading and I saw that the time spark port hooks to the distributor advance. Is this tru? Where do the other connect? I dont even see any hoses on my carb that go way from the distributor to the carb spark port...

The port you're refering to is the one poking off the passenger side of the main metering block. Holley's usually have more vacuum ports than are needed. I only use the timed port and the big PCV port on most of my vehicles. Everything else gets a plug.

The PCV hose will connect to a PCV valve which simply plugs into a grommet in the top of your valve cover. The valve can be found in the "Help" section at NAPA, Autozone etc.. Then just get the correct size hose ("help" section or behind the counter) and two small hose clamps.

For peak engine performance, driveability, idle cooling and efficiency in a street-driven car you need vacuum advance connected to full manifold vacuum. Port vacuum came to be with emissions requirements before catalytic converter technology had been developed to try and reduce hydrocarbons and oxides of nitrogen in the exhaust.

The hose from the timed port goes directly to the vacuum advance pod on the distributor. If the distributor has two nipples on the pod, connect it to the outermost nipple and leave the inner one alone, it's not needed. It's function was to retard the timing for emissions purposes. Bryce has already explained what to do with the PCV hose. Both can be bought at any parts house.
