:( Well I had a great time at the car show in Graham WA. I headed back home and when I pulled into the driveway I knew something was wrong. The 70 mav was backed in and left front was crushed. What I said after I will not repeat. Anyway my son is learning to drive he has a permit still. Well he was turning and he kept on turning and jumped a curb and hit a big sign. Luckily no one was hurt. The car has a crushed fender, hood, grill, bumper, valance plus engine compartment needs body work. I only have liability insurance so I'm going to eat it big. And I was just thinking of increasing insurance on it.

The good news if there is any I'm going to pick up another parts car that has the parts I need I just need to bring it in for the body work.

That bites. Not sure what I'd do in your shoes, but it probably would not involve my son driving it again. :)

Sorry to hear about the car! I hate to hear of anyone's ride getting banged up! Is your son okay though? Preston

Sorry to hear about the 2dr. Now you have your work cut out for you (putting it back together). I know you'll do it.

Mike; don't be too hard on the son. Everyone makes mistakes, and experience is the best teacher. My son almost killed my new Ranger one day, a while ago, while I was in it teaching him to drive. He nearly rearended a parked car. He will learn. Sorry about the Mav. Good luck on the repairs.

I feel your pain. At least the kids are OK. Too bad you cant rough them up a little. This is what my daughter did to my 79 Bronco many years ago.

sorry to hear that. been there too. main thing is no one got hurt. my daughter was supposed to go straight to a friends house, when she first started driving. i got a call from the state police. she was involved in an accident, many miles from where she was supposed to be, and rolled the car. luckily everyone was ok. she got in trouble, not for the accident, but for where she was. :slap:

Yeah, its good that your son's alright...and dont be too hard on em, I'm one myself... My dad's 85 F-250 has sufferd much under my dangerous hands. You live and learn, mostly the hard way.....
    The truck still runs, though!
