I'm wondering if anyone knows of a maverick or comet that made it into the 200's whether it's drag, road race or land speed. Come on Alex, you gotta know this one.
that funny car is pretty crazy, 6 seconds?! That's fast. How about something with more maverick-ness? something with original maverick body parts . . .
Mopar parts in a Maverick! How dare they!! Blasphemy!!! This action of ludicrisly malicious deformation!!!! This demonstration of intentional moto-cultural, dissimilar inter-mingling !!!! This... this... this... I just ran out of big words. Hemi in a Ford. That ain't right.
hehe, well, the name hemi is usually associated with mopar. but any hemispherical combustion chamber engine is a hemi. heck, GM's 4.0 and 4.6 Northstar V8 is a hemi.
As are all the 3 and 4 valve SOHC and DOHC 4.6, 5.0 and 5.4 Ford engines. Oh cant forget about the Toyota and Nissans V8's and most DOHC 4 bangers and sixes... ect ect ect.... Oh and on a side note a Brad Anderson Engineering Hemi is no more a Chrystler as it is a Chevy they are custom engineered motors for drag racing, that was originally based on a chrystler block but modified for their needs. But knowing that they modified a block to fit their needs for their style racing you can also easily explain why all the Chevy Nascar engines have a distributor in the front...
I stand educated. However, I wonder if the Ford NASCAR's run a Chevy motor with a distributor in the front? If I put a Boeing F-22 Raptor engine in my Mav and topped mach 1, would it still be considered, legitimately, a Ford Maverick that broke the sound barrier? Ah, yes... the eternal "back-and-forth" still rages between brand-loyalists and mix-matchers. My personal belief: to each his own, within the confines of common sense. Eric
Ha! You're right! Good catch. I just watched the Discovery Channel episode about the two companies squaring off for the new fighter jet contract, too. Lockheed won. Got the two mixed up. Sorry. The Boeing prototype really did look kinda goofy, though. Reminded me of a pelican. Eric (standing corrected for a second time)
Sorry had to do that build flight control units and the F22 and the F35 are two of the planes I build components for.
