I have a 74 2 door maverick that is still deep in the project stages. While removing the interior I came across two knobs, one on each side. I thought heating ducts, but when I pull them out nothing happens. What ever are they for?

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
They're the fresh air vents for non AC cars.

You wont feel it unless the car is driving down the road.

I wish they were on the AC cars too! There are many days ( not right now ) that I'd love to have those side panel vents!:)
