    Hi all,

I've had a problem arise lately. Whenever I begin to accelerate from a stop there is a terrible creaking noise coming from the front right of the car. Sometimes it comes from the rear. It is only when I first start out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jonathan

Pull the driveline and replace your u-joints. They are probably dry and powdered.

Hmmm... the front right could be a bad coil spring isolator. It is a rubber piece that is located between the spring and the upper perch and prevents just that from happening. (see http://www.p-s-t.com/ for coil spring isolators) Could also be just about 'any' of the rubber parts in the suspension.

On the rear: Do you have a rear sway bar? Bad bushings (shocks??) there too?

Have you manually pushed down and pulled up the front and rear to see if you could duplicate the noise?

No expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I'll go check the suspension right now. The rubber boots on the upper ball joints is almost gone. Could that be causing the noise?

I pushed the car up and down and could not recreate the noise. When I'm accelerating if I press the gas pedal down harder the noise increases. I'm going to check the u-joints next.
