I finally broke down and bought a scanner so now I have pictures of the mav on my computer. So... Here they are. It's a 73 4dr with the original 302. I don't have any pictures of the engine bay yet, but those will come sometime in the next 2 weeks. Well, here's the pic.

Yeah, I really like the 4 doors. I like that it is different from most of the muscle cars of the day.

4dr73mav-- if you goto //groups.msn.com/71mav/shoebox.msnw it will show you the pics of my 71 4dr. i also just picked up another one. a 77 6cyl w/ air in good condition for $500 to rebuild for my wife. i will be posting pics on that site soon so keep checking back. it looks like your project is in better shape than mine was when i started. good luck. 4drs unite.
the most fun you can have with a four door is when they hear you coming but have no idea that such a sound could come from a 4dr maverick. their eyes get buggy when i pass and my engine is just barely over stock. it just sounds good. soon to be 400 h.p. if the money works out and i can ever escape these d--n hurricanes.

Yeah, I got pretty lucky with this one. I've eliminated the rust in the floorpans. The new exhaust is going in on Friday. Soon it will be time to tackle the rust in the rear fender. The weather finally cooled off so I can actually work on the car.

It's too bad about the hurricanes, hopefully the weather will straighten out.
