    Hey Guy's

I need some help with my Mav! I have recently got my Mav on the road and im having problems with it pulling to the right while braking around 65mph even less... I did do the Granada swap and used the leaf springs from it and wondering if that might be the problem...also the car did get aligned and the brakes bleed properly. I am running out of ideas. So any help will be great.

    Thanks!
    Jerry

Back brakes can cause a pull at that speed also. Dont overlook a rear brake issue. One wheel may be way out of adjustment due a failed adjuster component. You could also have a wheel cylinder issue, contaminated brake linings etc. I'd have a good look at the rears and rule them out. Its a quick inspection then go on to the front brakes and suspension. Strut rod bushings OK?? I would assume since you had it aligned they should be OK.

You have the Granada discs up front??

the rear drums have all new components after i did the swap, the fronts also,i took my car to a alignment shop that test drives the car before they give it back and said that my steering box could use a rebuild but i dont think thats giving me the hard pull. is there any any issues that might be from me doing the swap from a granada?

New flex lines and calipers or did you use old ones?

I had a similar problem...got worse the past few weeks. Pulled to the right pretty good until I decided to have a peek underneath! Turned out to be a loose strut rod... rubber was destroyed on the pass side! Going in for a new alignment next week...something to look at anyway..

Are the hoses on that aftermarket proportioning valve connected in the right order? Find the diagram or instructions for it and verfiy the two ports for the front brakes are connected to the hoses that lead to the front calipers. If you have one of the front hoses in the rear brake hole it will pull badly.

I had the same issue with my brakes after I replaced with all new parts and bled the system. I took it into a brake shop and they said it was fine and not the brakes. I drove off and had the same issue after I hit the brakes. A friend of mine told me to reverse the car in a empty parking lot and hit the brakes over and over. It adjusted something by going backwards and never had the pulling to the right anymore. Hopefully your issue is as simple.

Thats the adjusters for the rear. Its how they are designed to work. Assuming they arent seized or broken.
