rebuilding control valve for power steering....

I rebuilt the control valve on my 75 maverick yesterday. I am now having trouble with it. I have the assisted power steering when I turn to the right but none when I turn left... give Mr your ideas any will help otherwise I found a replacement control valve

 

Did it assist in both directions before you re-built it?

 

There are adjustments, you need a Ford service manual.

 

befor it assisted in both directions but t just leaked soo bad and there was pay where the pitman arm bolts up to the control valve. I have a maverick repair manual would the help or theres a classic mustang shop about a 1/2 mile from my house where i can get additional info if i need it

 

Did you get thehoses put back in the proper position? that can case wierd things to happen.
