well,,i was looking for another car and my buddy phoned me and said he knew a car for sale that i had to look at,,notice he didnt say what kind,,i went for coffee and looks like the guy is going through divorce and on dire straits,, a ten year restoration, body off,,1969 mustang 428 4spd everything rebuilt, still sits high due to the entire front end was just replaced, springs and coils, with only 200 miles on restoration,,i only could get 30k but its mine,,he wanted someone who would take care of it and he knew that i slowly ripped and rebuilt my 77 into a 72 comet gt,,i gave me the photo albums of the restoration and he spend 45k ,,I consider myself the luckiest man with the wifes support,,the marti report was included and everything matched,,i had it appraisal done yesterday ,,45 to 48 k ,,a little stuff to do still,,wrong exhaust, wrong air cleaner, wiring old and cracked, cap on dash,,no speedo ,,cable broken,,monty bar needs paint but stuff i can do,, it looks great beside the comet,,the collection begins,,
Nice mustang, one of my favorite body styles. Kid I went to High School with (was a grade ahead) had the same car, same color combo but it had a 351W. Had faded paint job but everything was there. Everybody flocked the car I believe he's restoring it now with his dad.
Nice car. Best looking mustang ever made (I may be slightly biased) I'm so used to looking at mine, that it looks naked without the chin spoiler.
omg it does look naked,!! i never even noticed,,man u guys got great eyes,,i read somewhere that a mustang chin spoiler would fit our comets,,,oh the comets now belongs to the wife,,,she likes the cute color,,
I had a set of Mach 1 wheels on my Maverick off of my dads gold 69 Mach 1. I love those wheels. If you'll notice in this old pic, they still had the Goodyear Polyglass tires on them.
