have been looking around for someone to rewire my comet just lately, some of the places i've talked to have told me to buy a full wiring harness for a mustang from the US as it would be easier and cheaper . what do you guys think.

I installed the ez-wire in my car and it works very well. No problems yet. Hardest part is integrating everything into the stock switches, but it can be done.

I have complete wiring from a 1971 or most any years if you are interested. They uncut.

PM me. $50.00 plus shipping. Hope it will be okay with Customs.

Those are both good products but WAY overpriced, especially painless.

There's nothing wrong with a factory harness that can't be fixed with a little effort, and it's all prefit too boot.

Sure, but who wants 30+ year old insulation on the wires and glass fuses? I don't. Just my 2 cents.

Why are u rewiring? Add more circuits, damaged harness, PO screwed up the fac wiring - or what? I added an aux box to my car for all the stuff I added.
I don't have anything attached to the fac box that was'nt there when it left the factory. Only disadvantage to the aux box is having to carry two types of fuses. I don't have a problem w/ carrying two types of fuses, cuz if u have fuses blowing - u have a problem that needs attention.
If I had my car stripped out / or ever strip it down, I wud probably have done the entire harness thing.

    re wiring

the reason i wanted to get it rewired was that it is now 40 years old (same as me) and doesn't work that well (same as me) and the owner before me did some of his own wiring, so there are a few wires that don't seem to go anywhere.

OK Hawkeye I get it! After lookin in ur gallery and seeing u had/have the car disassembled I wud go w/ the full harness too. After lookin at Mavgrab 302s link I don't believe u can beat that price. Another link: www.kwikwire.com
BTW - I like the suspension and dual pis brakes.

Do these harnesses plug right into our cars or do we have to do a lot more work to install them than a factory harness? Are the plugs and connectors matching what we have already? I have mine completely torn down and want to rewire but would like it as simple as possible.
    Thanks for the advice, Joe

these are aftermarket harnesses and all the wires are marked every 6" or so down the wire, you have to reuse the end plugs IE: head lights and taillight sockets.. Also reuse all the connectors under the dash... and you will find extra circuits that you can use or just leave there for future upgrades... There really not to bad to install most have good instructions...
