Cutting the front coils and using lowering blocks on the rear leafs are the cheapest ways to lower your car.

Cut the front coils, and lowering blocks in the rear, is the easiest way.
I used Mustang lowering springs, cut 1/2 a coil off them, and had the rear leafs de-arched, works fine for me.

I would say the CHEAPEST way to lower a car is to heat up the coil springs with a torch. Definitely not the SAFEST way and a good way to ruin a set of coil springs.

I would go with cutting of half a coil on the front. You can always cut off more if it is not low enough. No way to add a ring if you cut off too much.

Nope. It varies since all cars are different. Also springs are different.
Cutting one coil on one car might bring it down 1" but put those same springs on another car and it might lower it 2".

Here's a good read on the subject:

Yup, go by half. Then drive the car for a while since it will settle down after time.

If you want more "low" cut another half and again drive it for a while.

The universal lowering/lift blocks at parts stores will do the trick.
They have them in 2, 2.5 and 3". Just be sure to get the correct ones.

I cant remember the axle tube size off hand, so it'll be best to measure it.

What motor do you have in the car! That will have an effect on the ride height as well.

On the rear slick, i used a set of raise blocks from a 2001 ranger, it's a 1-1/2 drop when installed on a Mav, thing is they require a bigger locating pin, which is no big deal --- but you also have to bore the locating-pin hole on your Mav shock mount plates to fit the blocks.

scratch the shock plate hole bore, its the perch mount on the axle housing that needs the hole bored.

Man i knew you would ask me that, sorta ---- gimme a little bit to look through some of them. It's an 8.8 rear end also, and some of the picks the car may or may not have the air-shocks installed.
