Alternator Hook up?

    Is this the proper way to hook up this alternator? I add the Yellow wire for a ground.:hmmm:

    you do not need to ground the alternator it grounds through the case

    Ok thank you...When i did ground it... from the original wire harness it burnt up the wire but it seemed to run better. Ive been trying to get my Mav back on the road but it keeps going dead.

    I always run a 10 ga. wire from the ground terminal to the block. the alternator will usually ground through the case but not always - paint gets in the way.
