Went Junkyarding today... [56k Beware]

And found two Mavericks! Both were four doors and the 73{I think) had buckets!

 

Those look like LDO buckets. Nice find!

 

i would cut the dog legs off the fenders if theres no rust

 

I sure hope you get the buckets out...even if it is just for the tracks.

 

Are you sure that bottom picture is of a 4 door?

That Mav don't look like it all rusted out. Frm what I can see it looks like it cud have been saved _ If someone was so inclined. I've seen some "on this board" in much worst shape being saved.

LOL Sorry guys... Was a long day! Yep I considered the mustang trunk on the cowl an extra door.. Coupled with the trunk, it's a 4 door! I probably wouldn't use the buckets... But I will definitely being going back Friday to grab them.. I didn't realize that the LDO buckets were desirable!

 

Oh I didn't see the previous post, yep! It's the Pick Your Part(Pulpo) on Blinn.

 

Unfortunately, that's the case with the wrecking yards in my area.. A lot of the cars are in nice shape. You shoulda seen the ones that came in when they had the "vehicle retirement program" a couple years back.. 73 F100 with a 300 I6, 4 speed(!) and 36" tires.. 72 Cougar with a 429, and lots of other goodies were DRIVEN in to the junkyard for $1000

School me if I am wrong, but I didn't think that 4 door bucket seats fold forward? The buckets are in the 4 door car?

Plus....the tracks are worthwhile as they are the same....2-door or 4-door.
