1.) Is that Crn Vic fan setup a dual fan setup?
2.) How much rm between the wp pulley and the fans?
3.) With dual fans offcenter frm the wp pulley - less issues w/ clearance.
4.) Hve any pix of the setup?
BTW: my car came frm Atlanta by-way of car corral in Iola Wis.
It was built in Dearborn and sold thru Greenbriar Linc-Merc Inc. 2770 Cambellton Rd. Are they still in business?

Baddad457, Is that fan blade a fixed blade or flex? It looks like a flex blade running in reverse. Wouldnt the cause the bend towards the radiator even more at higher speed? Maybe an opposite direction fixed blade fan would flow even more. The shroud and motor look nice but the blade just looks odd.

    1) No, single speed fan, wired automatic temp control and ac demand with a manual override
    2) very little, but it clears. roughly 3/8". I massaged the radiator mounting to provide a little more clearance.
    3) they might but on a stock sized radiator, I thought the fans would be too small.
    4) yes, and I'll try to get more when I get home.

I haven't heard of them in many years, I doubt they are open. The oldest L/M store here that I know of is Pugmire L/M.

Very similar to mine. Isnt it nice to just turn the key? I'm real happy with mine as a driver. Runs great and consistent.

They're somewhat of a flexblade, and although it looks bass-ackards, that's the way it runs to pull air thru the radiator. The blades look close to the radiator fins and they are, but there's enough room at fan speed to clear. Thing is, it was free and it works fine. All I had to do was fabricate the shroud. I had tried once to reverse the fan on the motor, but the shaft isn't long enough to do so and clear the framework of the fan bracket.

That is a big fan. I can see why u never go over 215*, it covers a great percent of the rad, even the tank. Why do u call it a condenser fan? I wud think it's a cooling sys fan. Thnks for supplying the pix. Are most of the Crown Vic fans similiar? I will have to investigate the possibility of something sim when it gets warm enough to make a trip the the local boneyard.

Some Crown Vics/Grand Marquis and possibly Town cars had an additional electric fan mounted in the cooling fan shroud that came on with air conditioner demand. This fan was used in conjunction with an engine driven clutch fan and since it only came on with AC demand it is a condenser fan.

Do they mount to the front of the rad (pusher?)? I'll have to look around for one, I like how big they are.

Like Darren said, mounts on the engine side of the radiator. It is just a single speed, but if anything, it could be slowed down with a resistor or controller. I haven't measured actual amp draw, but I would definitely make sure you have a 110 amp alternator minimum for this setup. Knowing Ford, the amp draw is significant.(y)

This is vry interesting. I see why u call it a condenser fan. There must be a lot of room between the engine pulley and the radiator for all this stuff to fit. Can't really picture how the setup looks.
I suppose u guys in the automotive industry see a lot of things most of us don't, esp., If ur not a regular at the boneyards. Im sure it draws a lot of current, but as u stated, a controller cud possibly be used to slow it down. I believe that type unit might work w/ the Champ radiator - lookin at ur pictures. Thanks...

I like that condensor fan! Good idea, that thing covers most the radiator in the pic. What year and everything would u say that came off? And i bet if u knew the details one online would be cheep to buy new....
