Thanks guys. I think it might be Ivy Bronze Metallic, but, it doesn't look metallic in the pic. At least I have a starting point, now.

It's short for Polyurethane, it's on some of the "aftermarket" paint chips, after every color is says "poly", it's just one of those things that drives me nuts. None of the sales brochures, order forms, or any factory books refer to any colors as "something-poly" :D

I blew up the photo and it does look somewhat metallic. Did Ford ever have an " Avocado " Green? It's a pretty Green and I'm not even a Green lover! :)

how close does this look to what your looking for?i went through a very extensive color book when i went to paint my car.theres a color called ford irrodesent green w/metal flake 1974.they also had the same name color, however slightlly different shades from different years.it looks to be in the same ballpark.i got the two pics the same size and put them as close as i could side by side. pic.anyone agree?

    You mean Avacado Poly ? ............... :rofl2:

    (sorry Dave) :)

There are other greens but they are lighter than what that car looks like in the little picture. Go to Auto Color Library and take a look at some of them. If we are looking at 1970 colors, it might be "Three Putt Green" :dancing:
