door locking problem!!!

    ok so when i try to unlock my car the little rod at the top of the door moves up a little, but not all the way to open the door. i have to twist key back and forth ALOT of times till it unlocks. whats wrong!:16suspect

    Could just need a little lube. I have used spray silicone in mine with very good results! The silicone helps to shed dirt and water out of the lock too! I'd try that first and if no result, then you may just have worn locks. I also use the silicone on the window tracks. It makes them much easier to raise and lower! :)
    I forgot to mention, what I use is " CRC " and it has a tube so you can push the tube in where the key goes and actually get the material inside.

    ok so now it started doing this again and i re apply lubricant in key whole and it works when i first apply and then by mid day it stops working

    Only the best stuff out there, it is used for lubrication, taking butyl sealer off, breaking loose 40 year old bolts and nuts and tons of other uses......it's sold in Walmart or auto parts stores, it is a catalyst type penetrating lube, works better than WD40.

    hint dont us on u bolt i broke both u bolts on drivers side and didnt use it on passager side and they broke loose :shocked:
