Well I went ahead and ordered me a Deluxe Report. Had some money hanging around in my paypal account. I may need some help interpreting it once I get it. I have a feeling my car was not originally a grabber, so we shall see.
We could have told you one way or the other without a Marti report...but they are still neat to have.
Well here it is. Looks like I have myself a Canadian built car. I believe the St. Thomas plant was in Canada. On the report it says "Louisville Ordering District", what does that mean? It also says 9,995 "Ordered from this DSO" ? I did find it interesting that the car was originally sold in KnoxvilleTN, and lived there till I brought it to Ohio.
It means the car was ordered by a Dealer in the Louisville District .. which apparantly includes Knoxville TN. That car was about as base as you can get ... Did it have carpet or a rubber floor mat ?? Ford sold lots of Maverick that year ... notice 409,000 base models ... so they built them in muliple plants including St. Thomas. They may have also used Dearborn and Kansas City that year too ...
The Accent Group I believe contained carpet, full wheel covers, 6.45 14 tires instead of base 13" tires, and trim around the window frames and drip rails. They actually built more than 409,000 Mavericks.
It had carpet, and trim on the windows and drip rails. When the paint was stripped from the car, there were a lot of the body was lime green. I know the car was repaired after a wreck, so they must have used a green parts car.
Wow, it is pretty basic. The numbers on all the statistics are pretty high. St.Thomas was the pilot plant fro the Maverick, they started production before Kansas. Up until 1972, Mavericks were only built in 2 assembly plants, in 73 Dearborn was added, then in 74 it was shifted to Wayne.
