Hi, my name is Jeff. I was just given a 1973 2-door V8 maverick. Its in a thousand pieces , but its a rust free California body with the original drivetrain. A friend of mine was going to make a drag car out of it, but gave up on it. Not sure what direction i'm going to go with it . Restore ? Restomod ? This is a great forum. Hope to find some good ideas & information.
Welcome aboard. For lots of ideas, I would recommend coming to the Roundup Nationals. I see you are from Wisconsin. You are in luck. The Maverick Comet Club International, Inc. (MCCI) will be holding their 19th Annual Roundup Nationals in Dearborn, Michigan this July 24-29. You will see lots and lots of Mavericks and Comets. You will have to plan and attend. Welcome to the forum. Congrats on getting such a great car for free and already taken apart, now you get to fix it and build it any way you can imagine. I would go to the round up, lots of great guys with all kinds of builds.
