The motor I'm building is running:

-This cam: Duration 262/272, Lift .448/.472

-No carburetor; A ported '87 Thunderbird HO intake manifold with multiport fuel injection does the same job.

-Ported C9TE stock Ford truck heads

    -Stock 1968 302 cast pistons (I believe)

This is an extremely budget-oriented build, and should still provide quite a bit of oomph.

Those are some pretty stout setups! Makes mine look wimpy! I thought mine was a bit hard to drive on the streets!

Details in my sig below...Custom ground cam, so I don't know all the specs. It was originally ground for a fox-body mustang, running a heavily nitroused 5.0. I got it as a hand-me-down, and made the rest of the valvetrain work with it.

There is no such thing as a HO 5.0 SEFI intake in a pre '91 Bird/Coug... The lowers are same but upper has a smaller throttle body opening...

The 5.0 in the Comet is bone stock, but I have a Trick Flow headed and cammed 5.0 in a '88 T-Bird... Also has Cobra intake, 65mm throttle body, 1 5/8" shorty headers, full 2.5" exhaust system...

my 302 has stock iron heads with an edelbrock air gap intake my cam is a comp extreme energy with a 512 lift I dont remember the duration but the rest of the engine is stock except the lifters and valve springs to go with the cam and headers

Im upgrading my engine to a 347 stroker with all forged internals and aluminum comp heads the 1.7 roller rockers were said to bring my cam lift up to I think the machine shop said a 544 lift.
