    This being said i run 12-14* base on my 250 on 87 octane no rattles

    The Owner Manual is talking 91 RON which is 89 octane (R+M/2)

    The Duraspark has never let me down. Althought I agree about hot starts, MSD box showed a noticable improvement on my 4 door when I swapped.

    You also don't have to go full blown 6AL, MSD also has the StreetFire series. Or look at Accel's 300+ series. These both have built in RPM limiters, and are a little smaller / compact.

    I've had 2 pertronix units fail. I've had the same MSD 6AL box and MSD distributer in my 70 for 10 years now and not one problem. I run a TFI coil with it.

    I have that coil with mine ... made by Pertronix and it will match up fine. Mount it with the terminals pointing up unless the instruction say otherwise. Not sure if all are this way, but some coils need that for cooling.
