I'm not sure if he has a stock gas tank, but don't they have a vent hose in the top?

Stock the fill cap acts as the vent on most cars

Oh ok, I have a rubber line hanging down from the top of mine, I always thought it was coming from the gas tank.

You are correct, your car has a vent valve on the top of the tank.. The rubber hose connects to a steel line that go's to the engine bay and attachés to a charcoal canister mounted on the pass side fire wall...

Mo isnt running the stock tank anymore.
I know at one time he had done a mustang tank, it was prepped for his EFI conversion he is in the process of doing. I think he was talking about a fuel cell at one time also, so If he doesnt have the mustang tank in still its probably the cell.

I made it! And the Mav made it....140mph top speed, made the 90miles in 43.12 minutes. Dunno the race results but I was in the 125mph class so we'll see. On the way back, got stranded twice already with the fuel pump dying. On our way to pick up a fuel pump.

    Congratulations!! Glad things went well.

I mentioned to my wife about navigating for me if I was to ever do that race, she looked at me a little funny and said: "uh.. NO!"

LOL.. my wife has been held hostage in the passenger seat up to 130 before. Nowadays, she rarely rides with me in anything that is even remotely fast.

Had to remind here the other day though.. "you do realize that this V6 Honda Accord we're driving in right now.. can peg its 145 mph speedo, right?". Which was followed by her asking me how the hell I knew that? :16suspect

Sometimes it's like shooting myself in the foot just to show someone that I'm a good shot!

Glad everything went well and everyone came out safe. Good job guys! :thumbs2:

Sorry for lagging on pics and videos, the gopro makes a 12 gig video so I need to figure out how to edit and make smaller.

Getting back was a 14 hour mess. The fuel in the tank was too hot. Finally we took one of bry's socks, filled it with ice and wrapped it around the metal fuel filter and that's it, no more trouble. This patend pending fuel cooling system will be for sale after proper R&D has been completed. We had a little glitch with the empty sock getting dragged behind the car after the ice melted.
