I got 8.8 disc brakes on my 8" housing. We cut the inner cable to length and threaded it through the Maverick outer cover and weld a Allen bolt head to the cable for the ball. We used the 8.8 brake line fittings on the Maverick brake lines and bubble flare the brake line using the 8.8 rubber brake hose going to the caliper. A 1/4" bolt was welded to the axle tube to hole the brake line

Bh36845 raybestos soft line to the caliper for future reference can be used and has a rubber sleeve covering the first 6 inches. I also used an old front drum brake hose bracket welded it to the rear diff.

When I put the 8.8" in my S-10, the factory GM e-brake cable ends worked just like the stock Ford cable ends. A straight swap. Has anyone looked at this?

I used a adapter from orielly's to use the stock explorer line to the maverick hard line, and small cable clamps on the stock maverick cables. Doesn't get much easier
