New MII suspension, any hints/suggestions for possible installation glitches?

Do you have any pic's of the 4 link rear?

 

is it their newer 4 link setup on the site?

and if so.. any pic's or input on the install?

Their setup advertised is for must,fairlane and falcon after two years talking to them they installed a similar set up in my car. when I got it home had several issues with rear end pitch roll under hard acceleration but straightened that out finally. I installed the front kit myself. Yes ill get some pics together and post them. My mav does not drive or feel anything original.

 

Well, my thought was take it to Ed "FAN2488" and have him install it.

Make sure it is ready for the Round Up in Austin, TX in July.

For this, won't I will need a 220 stick welder, not just a 110 wire-feed?

I don't have one at the house, but we have one at the ranch I could bring home for the weekend, if I need it.

i am more concerned with having it ready before the Katy show in March...

 

I don't think I'd use a stick welder...Hire a local mobile welder to come burn it in.

 

I have a cousin who is a senior in high school who is "majoring" in welding, and has done lots of really good work. If it comes down to it, he will bring the welder out and do it. His welding skills are WAY better than mine.

 

So do you cut the rails or lay it over the rails where it gets welded?

Crossmember/angle fits flush inside and bottom of frame rail. Upper control arm/shock bracket angle fit flush on outside and top of frame rail then weld fits like a tight glove. Made total job easy with plasma cutter and millermatic 210.

 

My MII cradle from Full Tilt Street Rods is of similar design to the RC as it wraps around the original frame rail capturing the rail inside of the new cradle and top hat. I still had to remove some of the pinch weld area to make the frame rail more square in the install area.

 

What gauge, or thickness would you say the R&C kit is?

 

So the frame rail gets boxed?

 

I believe it is 3/16
