This is the plug on the inside of the car that goes to the heater blower motor. Anyone know a name or where I can find one? Call or text me if you have an answer for me and thank you in advance! Phone is not letting me attach pictures but I can send them via text. It has 2 springs that make the connection from motor to power switch 503-476-2719
To my knowledge, if your car has A/C it may be somewhat difficult to find. If its just a Heater plennum then most Mustang and Cougar supply companies carry them.
There is a bunch of different ones on ebay - and you can post a wanted ad in the classifieds. I'm sure some of the guys have old broken heater boxes laying around and could pull one for you. I know I have a couple old boxes out behind the shop but they are buried under the snow right now.
The plugs on the above picture (w/o A/C) are set up differently than the plugs on the one I pulled out. My car is a 72 Grabber w/o A/C but the resistor prongs(below) are set up in a slightly different pattern. Do you think that it could have been popped out previously and replaced with the wrong resistor? Prior to it going out I only had power on High, medium and low did not work. Dont want to buy the one w/o A/C if that's the wrong one but I think that it could/would work. What do you guys think? Let me know if you need/want more info.
the one w/out A/C will not work. the A/C is turned on by the fan switch (low) when the selector is set for air. with non-A/C the fan switch has a low...med...high speed...
Another long dead thread on the heater resistor assembly with no closure. It seems that all over ebay and in parts catalogues, this is not properly named, but is actually the same part with or without AC and is shared with lots of mustangs, and other fords. I believe the correct part number, after far too long trying to figure this out is SDK-C2OA-18591-A and it's available new from scott drake, on ebay, summit, etc
