My 3 speed tail shaft does not have the 3 bolt holes on it. Do they make a bracket that fits over the tail shaft or do I need to change the tail shaft?

If you are talking factory parts, I believe you will need to change the tail-shaft. On the 3-speed transmissions I have parted out, the tail-shaft was different for a floor shift car versus a column shifted car.

Yep, best way is to find a tail housing for a floor shifter. They used to make brackets to adapt, I had one on my car that was originally a column shift converted to floor shift. It places the shifter way over to the left and you need to cut a huge hole in the transmission tunnel. Much cleaner installation if you use the correct tail housing.

    fomoco74mavgrab,
Would you happen to have a picture of what you have? How much were you asking for it?

    Thanks John
