So here it sits.. Who knows how long but at least it's out of the elements. I nearly fell over when I pulled out some paperwork from an envelope the seller put in the car.
What, no pictures of it being loaded? I guess that means that "Ramp-Man" paid you a visit so you could then pay him???? It looks some good in there! And if not all Mavericks and Comets come with that paperwork, then maybe they should!
For now I am thinking I will put it back together and drive it. I will use my drivetrain out of the 73 since it needs to come out anyway to do the MII suspension. I was not there when he picked it up. I stayed home and went to church with my wife since it is her bday. I cleaned the area while my wife went to Sunday class then I showered and cleaned up and suprised her in the chapel. We came home and I played around on the computer till it showed up.. I helped unload it so I didn't get any other shots..
The front bumper and brackets are inside the car. From what I can see it looks pretty good.. There is a Summit reciept for new carpet in March 07.
that right there is probably one of the easiest projects on the boards besides rwbrooks car put in a motor (you probably already have one) then the front suspension is EASY to put on and hte rear end isnt too bad since its a car last thing turn key and go sounds SO EASY but once you get started it will take weeks or months to get it finished up. you could get it back together over a couple of weekends though. one weekend to yank everything out and clean it up and the next to bolt it all back to the new car. if you have air tools anyway otherwise youre in for a month of weekends fighting all of the bolts
72 Comet Congratulations on your " find " .. You are a blessed man to have the Splash Guard 'INTACT' and still with the car . I looked for weeks and weeks before I found a decent one here in Florida . The body looks like you have a lot of good possibilities . I'm building my 74 too ..Comets Rule !!! Cometized
