    would be nice if they do ,i have a buddy who uses them sez he woouldnt use tube headers ,his stuff is always fast also,he has a 347 pinto with them runs 9.50s 1/4 mile id like to know also

    You can get a nice set of headers for that price. If you want the stock look just place some heat shields over them to hide em

    I too have seen a few "fast cars" running them through the years.. but that surely doesn't mean that he's not leaving quite a fair bit of power on the table with those stock manifolds(the more you spin it.. the worse it gets).

    I've also ported them myself and you'll never get the collector large enough unless you weld them.. and even then there are limitations due to the log style. and even knew a guy who spent big bucks(over $500 IIRC) to have them extrude honed.

    IMO, a total waste of cash.. unless.. you have smaller displacement and/or don't spin it too high.. you're rule limited.. or trying to go undercover to build a ringer.

    They were good enough to produce 271HP back in the day (with stock small valve heads & chambers).............but with long tube headers Shelby proved they could make about 20HP more.....as Greg said, kind of waste of money IMHO
