I recently installed granada spindles on my 72. I have manual steering with a 72 m/s centerlink.

My question is do I use maverick outer tie rod ends or granada? They are different part numbers and may be different diameters but I am not sure.

Has anyone done this swap and if so what ends (inner and outer) did you use on the conversion?

I have heard about guys using spacers but cant find and info on that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys,

    John

    Do your Maverick ones fit?

I'd use Maverick ones. Just make sure they are shorter than the ones you have now, so that the cotter pin will fit through the castle nut. I "think" late'73 and newer with power steering had the correct size for the disc brake spindles.

the car was a p/s car that i converted to m/s. I just installed the spindles and the new calipers. I have not tried the new ends yet but when checking with the autoparts store I found that the grandada and maverick are different part numbers. I will get one of each to see the difference then go from there.

I used a 72 Comet manual center link when I did my Granada brakes. The Comet tie rods fit fine....

On my 72 I also converted to manual steering and discs. I got my steering parts from a 73 maverick.
