Oh no I got about 1200 in this one and I have had the other one for about 3 or 4 yrs. When I was doing Metal Fabrication work I priced building it myself but it would have cost as much and I would have to do all the work myself so I just bought it and they installed it. They were 595 at the time but now they are 695 plus I paid 100 extra to get it 2 ft taller. They are everywhere around here. Later Tim
Its a 69 mach one. Belonged to my late brother. His son owns it now but has no where to keep it so he keeps it here.
That's nice, And it looks great Magnums are one of my favorite wheels and T/A's are my favorite tires.
Aren't your front tires then taller than the rear? I have 235 60 14's on the rear and 205 70 14's on the front.....car's handling is a little squirrelly, so after some checking, I found that the front tires were about an inch taller than the rear...figured this might be part of my problem. How's your car handle mycometgt? D.Ray
sorry But I was wrong I have 245-60-14 on the rear and 215-70-14 on the front they are exactly the same height. 25". It handes as good as i would expect it too stock.
I just got finished pouring my slab for mine this weekend.:bananaman I ordered the frame (20x21) a couple of weeks ago. Got the frame for 545.00. I had already bought the metal for the roof and the sides. I bought 24 gauge that was regular 1.70 a foot for .94 a foot (couldn't pass that deal up). I found, like you did that this is the cheapest way to build a shop. I priced other buildings and they wanted anywhere from 4000.00 to 6000.00 for the same size I am building. Steel prices has gone through the roof the last couple of years. Glad to see someone else is doing the same thing as I am.
Ah-Ha...that makes sense. Nice port.....I'm kinda missing the South, where the winters are mild! My car is in the basement!! keeping nice and warm for the brutal winter.
my comet gt, how do you plan to close the ends? I'm looking into some square tubing now but was wondering what your plans were. Tomm
Tomms 73 I was planning on using tubing also but after getting a price Im thinking I might just use angle on the back side and tubing on the side for the doors. Thats a good price you got on the metal. The place I checked here wants 48 bucks a sheet.that comes out to about 1.90 a foot I think. Are you going to insulate yours? Later Tim
Tim, I'm going to insulate and put interior walls in. Not sure what I'm going to do about a ceiling yet. I'm also getting the frame for lean-to's on each side for boat and camper storage. I'm looking up the prices for a rollup door and a side door today. Then the expensive part will be the electricity. Tomm
