I agree, I got more pics today, and it looks worse dead on. If it is just a bad bumper I can live with it, but I too feel like there was a bad wreck. Sighh. Think ill stick with my gut feeling and walk.

It wouldn't take much to look underneath and see what it looks like.

How far is the car from you?

Hey guys. So I finally got to see it in person. And all I have to say is boy, am I glad I did.
This seemingly decent, in need of "minor body work" 70 mav, turned out to be among the rustiest of cars I have ever seen.
The rockers, rear quarters, trunk pan, cowl, hood, floors, frame boxes and bumper brackets were all toast.
It ran great, and the interior was nearly mint. But that's about all for highlights. I took a lot of pics, and ill put them up soon. But jeez, this puppy needs work. On top of that I still offered to buy it, for 500 bucks. Said the least he could do was 1400. He was a very nice guy and was understanding, but said he paid 1500 for the car, and 600 for the hood, bumper and grille. I said I understood he was at a loss, but it needed countless hours of bodywork.
But anyway, thank you everyone for the advice and help. I'm glad I got to see it, but it just seems like more work than its worth at this point.

 for walking away without acting like a jerk and telling the guy his car was pretty much junk and he got robbed buying the car and parts. maybe some uninformed kid will come buy it and drive it until the floor falls out while going down the road
