Some of you may have heard that I got bumped in Dallas going through heavy traffic on my way home from the Roundup. I sustained a dent in the rear quarter panel. I filed a claim online at 10 pm Monday night, an adjuster called by 11am the next day. I sent in an estimate and other requested documents this moning and received a call back by noon. The check is in the mail! The estimate was for just under $1500. I have rust in the door and fender on that side of the car. Im getting everything fixed for 2k. Hagerty was awesome, now I just need the shop to find the time to fit me in.

I forgot to mention the other vehicle did not stop. Apparently the "drive friendly" signs all over the highways must be a suggestion.....:rofl2:

Bummer, glad Hagerty took care of you. Driver didn't stop because they thought you would be mad and likely carrying.

I would have to say it doesn't look bad. I was expecting a lot worse.

Great to hear that about Hagerty. I started my policy with them on Friday afternoon just to make sure I was covered for the trip to Austin I didnt make. :bs: Glad you were alright and it wasnt more serious. I cant stand driving in Dallas or really anywhere in the metroplex. You cant go 5 miles around here without running into a war zone. Makes driving from region to region feel like passing through DMZ's.

Not sure how to respond with multiple quotes so I will do it this way....

Craig... Its minor in my opinion too, was surprised the estimate was so high.

Dave....The guy disappsared in traffic in seconds, all I know is that it was a silver SUV.

Mav70...We are from South Jerssy so we dont have that accent. Thats the North Jersey accent near New York, I grew up across river from Philly.

Chris...I got my policy in May, glad I did too. Ive heard nothing but good things about Hagerty and met the Rep at the Spring swap meet in Columbus. One of the smartest things of ever done.

It's hard to find people that respect others property. They should have stopped. May not have had insurance.:(
