Remove the bolt!:rofl2: what type of puller are you using? Maybe try spaying some pb blaster on there, may have some corrosion.

 Forget the bolt, remove the washer behind the bolt. I've missed it a few times, the wsher stays in place, the balancer will not come off as the puller is pulling against itself :D This is what happens when you have a buildup of dirt inside the balancer, the bolt comes out but the washer stays put til you dig it out.

Get the puller on there with a good amount of pull on it then tap the inner ring of the balancer as close to the center as you can get. That should help free it up.

Just be sure to tap not wail on it. My brother got impatient so he started getting aggressive and broke his balancer! He about went into orbit when it "let go"!

one other possiblity, there is a "keyway" which the balancer slides onto the crank snout and could be damaged or binding. Take a look with flashlight inside the bore just to see and as you are probably well aware, balancer should come off fairly easily and smoothly.........
if the machined keyway slot has or had a knick, it is possible that the keyway insert has gotten lodged. If and when you do manage to remove the balancer, take a good look at the keyway slot, if it has been damaged, you will definitely see! Good luck!
    will PM you.....

X2. How 'bout a picture of the puller.

You probably already know all this but, since you're having problems that shouldn't occur, it might be worthwhile to spell it out. If there's no news here, just call me Captain Obvious.

    1. Remove the bolt and washer from the end of the crank.

    2. Reinstall the bolt without the washer.

    3. Attach a puller to the balancer. The large bolt in the balancer, with tip installed, goes up against the 15/16" bolt head.

    4. Tighten the large puller bolt against the 15/16" bolt head.

I've had problems breaking the balancer bolt loose but, once the bolt was loose, the rest has been easy.:hmmm:

    Is the balancer rusty?

All brand new stuff no rust.. I did manage to get it off this morning, thanks for everyone for the suggestions, I bought a real nice puller lastnight.. I had it on and was really torquing on the thing today and all the sudden a big SNAP and it came free then pressed off like it should have to begin with, thanks guys.. Posting pics tonight in my other topic to show what happened inside my engine.. Pretty ugly.
